Applying the 'Mystery Method'

Mystery is absolutely amazing.
This book shows you all the techniques you need to get every attractive looking girl.

And yeah, it works!

(This is an ideal addition to the Gentlemanner's Guides.
But it works properly as a 'standalone Guide')

The Game - by Neil Strauss. READ IT!
One of the most significant books about the seducing community and their techniques as well as their approaches... I will post my experience here.

Best serious video I found on Youtube.com about being a gentleman:

"You should always open the door for her, and let her go first."

There is only ONE Exception!:
It would be really correct if YOU go first into restaurants (especially into restaurants, in which you've never been before), instead of the girl.
WHY? If it's not that kind of restaurant you were looking for (bad smell, bad atmosphere, etc.) you don't want her to see the location you were supposed to go.

<= that's only an info and not a rule... do, what you think is correct.

Literature - Schiller

An Example of Friedrich Schiller's "Letters about Don Carlos" (in German). Now, don't go: "WTF? why in German and not in English???!!!" => It's just an example of what you can get FREE on the internet here and here!

Learn a Foreign Language

Learning French - Eddie Izzard

Of course, the following video inspired me to learn french, 'cause I didn't understand anything!

so I found THIS!

PS: not only this video, but:
  • a girl talking to a guy from Lyssee (French School in Austria) in French instead of paying me attention! (Damnit!)
  • guys/girls who can talk English, but talk French instead (a là Frenchmen and the girl above)
  • Mothertongue in France, part of Belgium and Switzerland, Luxemburg, Monaco, ... and Canada (Québec)
  • Ratatouille (Movie by Pixar)
  • Bianca Beauchamp (who is Canadian and ... wow!)

Be Entertaining

"a gentleman is not the center OR does not make himself to the center of attention"

...but entertaining people is one thing that's always good in small groups. Just some small jokes make the situation of get knowing each other easier.

Timeless Stand UPs:

Men are Pigs - Tim Allen

part 2
part 3
part 4

(Nearly) Everyone knows Star Wars, so this is also timeless:

Star Wars Canteen - Eddie Izzard

Things that came to my mind...

Sorry, if I forgot to mention the following, as I considered that these topics are standard (not only for a gentleman, but for every man who wants to be accepted in society) Reading: If you still haven't learned it yet, start immediately! English:
  • William Shakespeare
  • Christopher Marlowe
  • George Orwell
  • Aldous Huxley
  • ...
German:
  • Goethe
  • Schiller
  • E. T. A. Hoffmann
  • Novalis
  • Christoph Martin Wieland
  • ...
and a lot more... The following Movie could inspire you to read more:
Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant and vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition! The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V.

Tipp 777: Never, ever, ever...

A friend of mine asked me about a msn adress of a girl in my list. He told me, he had met her via the internet... So they chatted, he knows her real name, she knows his real name. And now he wanted that I give him the adress via phone.
I asked: "Why don't you ask her?"
He said: "Well, it didn't work. She didn't gave me the adress because of errors which occured during transaction. So please, could you give me her adress"

Before I even did anything, I phoned her. I had some small talk, asked about christmas... and so on (What I didn't know before phoning her was, that she had birthday on this day! What a lucky guy am I, phoning her on her birthday. Well, I wished her the best as soon as she told me on the phone, that it was her birthday)...
Then I asked about this guy...
Does she really know him? - She does.
He asked me about your msn-adress, what should I do? - Don't give it to him, she said
... but don't tell him, I said that - she said...

At first I thought I could tell him, he should ask her again, via the internet...
HAHA! He could not contact her again... Only via msn...!

DILEMMA!

I just told him, that she won't give the msn adress away.

GUESS WHAT?

He got unhappy, but he has to deal with it...

... That's always better than lyin' to someone... !!!

Etiquette of the Future ...NOW!

Now THIS is an "old" movie. But I saw it about one and a half months ago for the first time! If you are more the science-fiction-type of a guy, this one's for you. Blast from the Past is definitely a sweet movie. It shows how complicated it can be to be taken seriously when being a Gentleman... from the Past! By the way, this is the second movie I posted on this blog where the Gentleman comes from the foretime. Since then, I'm asking myself a question: Why are the best Gentlemen always coming from the past? I just can't believe it! We need to have Gentlemen in PRESENT! That's why I made this blog, to show YOU, how to be a Gentleman. The world really needs some more... There are enough machos on this planet, women deserve REAL (gentle) men! summarized tipps:
  • get basic knowledge (about everything)
  • learn to speak a (kind of sexy) foreign language (French, Spanish, Italian,...)
  • learn to defend youself

Yours Sincerley

Tipp: 1 - Read This!

A Gentleman never makes himself the center of attention. He just makes others feel comfortable. His goal is to make life easier, not just for himself but for his friends, his acquaintances and the world of large. Yours Sincerly

One of the best Gentelman-Movies ever!
I would recommend it to all of you.
It's about two people of two different centuries, meeting in the year 2001 (old movie, but still pleasing).

I would suggest, that you take something with you from this film, cause it's really interesting and enjoyable. You should learn some acts from Leopold...

It's ABSOLUTELY a pleasant movie
... but don't take everything seriously...

summarized tipps:
  • learn to dance the waltz
  • learn to cook (make breakfast)
  • learn floriography
  • learn to ride a horse (yes, it's really near the extinction...)

Your Sincerly
